- What product is used to generate revenue? The product is a Discount card created by NeighborLink and supported by local merchants. It is similar to a coupon booklet program but that is where the comparison ends. NeighborLink’s card will afford participants access to merchant offerings for the entire term of the project (normally 90 days) without limitations to its use. The card eliminates the need to carry a booklet, cut out coupons and, there are endless opportunities with the card verse the 2 to 4 coupons regularly provided with the booklet programs.
- What types of discounts are available? NeighborLink has structured the Merchant program to allow for countless opportunities to the members. Obviously the typical discounts, 2 for 1 specials and buy a sandwich get a soda are offered. But because our Merchants range from restaurants to service providers in the community you will see offerings like never before. Perhaps a discounted airline ticket or how about a much needed oil change? And again they are good for as long as the program lasts.
- Why choose a discount card as our fundraiser? NeighborLink researched the opportunities with the intent to create a program that maximized the potential for the Fundraising organization. Not everyone cares for a large pizza rather than a small, or a free soda but we are curtain that because we have allowed all local merchants to participate the result is unmatched variety for the buyer and optimum revenue opportunities back to the organization.
- Are there other benefits for the consumer buying the card from our group? Yes, absolutely! For a period of 3 months, the card buyer will be considered a Member of NeighborLink and they will receive all the entitlements of a Member. Member access includes classified, Trader/Barter services, job postings and search capabilities to find exactly what it is you are looking for. - How much does the NeighborLink card cost? A one time fee of $20.00 gets the project member full member access for a period of 90 days.
- How much is the NeighborLink card worth? To coin a phrase, “The sky is the Limit”. Our merchants that support the NeighborLink project have agreed to honor the offerings for the 90 days with no limit. That sets the NeighborLink project apart from all others and is exactly what we had hoped from local merchants to foster unity and growth in the community. In terms of numbers hundreds of dollars of savings is attainable within the 90 day term and our full members are seeing savings in excess of $1000’s of dollars each year.
- Can our name and/or logo be printed on our fundraising card? Yes, although there will be a charge of for upgrades from the stock program cards.
- How many cards does NeighborLink suggest be sold by our members? Our model suggests that 10 cards per organization participant as a good benchmark, but final results can be affected by the size of the group, age of the organization members and whether awards are provided to those the achieve preset benchmarks.
- How long will it take to receive the cards to begin selling? Approximately, 2 weeks from the time the fundraiser agreement is signed and processed.
- How long do we have to run this campaign? 90 days from the time the campaign begins.
- What is the cost of the cards to us and how much do we sell them for? There is no out of pocket cost to the organization. Cards are sold to program members at $20.00 per card. Every 10 business days for the 90 day term the organization will submit a payment to NeighborLink from its earned revenue based on the agreement terms. A final payment from that revenue will be made at terms end reconciling the account.
